Echos from a liquid memory is a transdisciplinary composition where the piece and the visual are taken to the limit of their musical possibilities, through the manipulation and digital processing of sounds and images submerged and propagated through water.
This action creates a new universe, a new ecosystem, where interactions of organic and non-organic matter create changes in the environment, while physical and digital reality coexist in an abstract narrative, between a liquid, defragmented memory and the perception of ourselves projected in space and time. This performance focuses on the defragmentation of memory, space, time, and consequently, reflects the volatile memory of human existence. For all this, it was necessary to build an instrument - a combination of an acrylic tank with hydrophones - that made it possible to explore underwater sounds. This is an immersive experience where water refers to the liquidity of memory and, consequently, of identity.

Bio
Carincur, a transdisciplinary artist, develops work of an exploratory nature, configuring itself in hybrid formats between performance, electronic and experimental music, audiovisual installations, sound sculptures and electroacoustic instruments, among others. In recent years, She has investigated and developed her practice and research as a dynamic event through symbolic experiences that bend the sociotechnical fabrics where the image of the human (normative) is weaved in a hybrid work with technology. It covers topics such as fiction/reality, electronic/organic and human subjectivity. Through the space/body/voice/machine quadrinomial as main plastic materials, it explores acoustic phenomena, auditory and visual perception, the voice as a synthesis device, the humanoid vocal capacity and the creation of post-human voices, used to understand the transitions between organic and electronic bodies, where any new additions of “external” technology are seen as extensions of the body.
Her sound work has been edited by labels such as Weathervane Recs, Extended Records and ZABRA. She has already released two albums, “Sorry if I make love with sound” and her latest project “Echos from a liquid memory”. She is co-creator of Spectrum Awareness, an audiovisual project with João Pedro Fonseca and João Valinho; She belongs to the ZABRA Records label, to the YUUTS RUOY platform and is vice president of ZIGURFEST, an annual festival that takes place in Lamego, Portugal.
